The partnership
Bouygues Energies and Services, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction were selected by one of the UK’s leading data centre providers to design and construct several of its data centres in the UK. Bouygues E&S invited OryxAlign to tender on the Integrated Communications Network (ICN) and IT infrastructure as part of the overall construction package.
The implementation, ongoing reliability and resilience of the ICN is an integral and critical element of any data centre. It underpins the integrity and high-availability of the Building Management System, Power Management System, Access Control and Security. OryxAlign have a focussed data centre design team consisting of experienced solution architects, network infrastructure engineers and security consultants. All ICN infrastructure submissions are accurately scoped and designed to meet current and future technical requirements.
The OryxAlign and Bouygues partnership has successfully delivered several separate data centre projects for the award winning data centre provider, with OryxAlign having delivered the entire ICN infrastructure under the Bouygues brand.
Our approach
Following the submission and acceptance of the ICN bid, a series of consultation workshops are hosted where the relevant stakeholders and service partners discuss and agreed the final specification and interoperability of the various applications and systems. OryxAlign play a key role in ensuring all service partners benefit from a well-designed and resilient ICN.
The implementation of the ICN is delivered in stages and is designed to align with the intensive construction program. Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) phases are completed by OryxAlign which ensure the solution is implemented to the highest standards and quality, and in line with the required specification. On the completion of the ICN implementation and prior to handover and go live phases of the project, the new infrastructure is formally on-boarded by the Managed Services division at OryxAlign, who are contracted directly by London’s leading data centre company to deliver a 24×7 managed technology support service.
