OryxAlign climbs 79 places in Best Companies rankings and is recognised as Highly Commended MSP of the year in CRN Channel Awards 2023
UK-based managed IT services provider OryxAlign has been recognised as one of the Best Mid-Sized Companies to Work For in the UK, in the Annual Best Companies 2023 awards. The company secured a ranking of 64, climbing 79 places from a year earlier. In addition, OryxAlign also secured a Highly Commended award in the MSP of the Year category at the CRN Channel Awards 2023.
These wins for OryxAlign follow a year of continued growth in the company’s key sectors: data centre, construction and commercial property, which are all heavily reliant on the need for enterprise security, networking and critical IT services and support.
“We are flourishing in all our core areas: cloud, cyber and networking,” said Carl Henriksen, founder and CEO of OryxAlign. “Our enterprise networking division is robust, especially in critical infrastructure design and installations in our key data centre, construction and commercial property sectors. Cloud services maintain steady demand, but the cyber services sector is gaining prominence.
“We strategically invest in managed cyber platforms, focusing on services like vulnerability management, OT and extended detection and response. We also focus on the ever-important cyber awareness training and raising the profile of cyber security in our client base.”
At the Best Companies Awards, the company was recognised for excelling in three key areas: giving back, well-being and personal growth. The award survey results showed that 89 per cent of staff agreed with the statement ‘My organisation encourages charitable activities,’ 80 per cent agreed that ‘I am happy with the balance between my work and home life’, and 97 per cent agreed that ‘The experience I gain from this job is valuable for my future.’
Henriksen believes a strong company culture is essential for IT talent acquisition and retention, “There’s an IT talent shortage in the UK, which affects all providers and their clients. Having an award that demonstrates you are a great company to work for does help attract and retain the right people. And retention of the right people is key to delivering service excellence for our clients.”
The combination of a happy and consistent workforce, combined with recognised technical excellence is a great combination, “The MSP of the Year category at the CRN Channel Awards is one of the most prestigious awards in the IT industry, so to be highly commended is a significant achievement for us,” continued Henriksen.
The company continues to build a diverse workforce. Of the 100+-strong workforce, 73 per cent are male and 27 per cent female, with an average employee age of 39. 50 per cent of the senior leadership team are women, and 25 per cent of all staff are from ethnic minorities.
