20 Fenchurch Street was designed by Rafael Viñoly, the world-renowned Uruguayan architect and unveiled to great acclaim in 2014. Nicknamed ‘The Walkie-Talkie’ because of its distinctive shape, it is stunning not only on an aesthetic level, but has literally turned on its head the idea that buildings having to be smaller at the top. Designed for maximum efficiency and comfort, this 38-storey, 160 m (525 ft) tall building offers 64,103 m² (690,000 sq ft) of office space with floorplates that get larger in size as the floors ascend. The Challenge

In just the few years since the building was completed, advances in technology have resulted in some profound and far-reaching changes across a wide range of IT services and functionality.

By 2017, the landlord realised that the management of the existing IT infrastructure needed to be improved. As a result, 20 Fenchurch Street was looking to engage a new partner who would bring the critical network infrastructure and associated services up to the standard worthy of this iconic building.
