Reporting to the COO, this newly established team lead appointment will play a critical role in delivering OryxAlign’s business outputs through managing and enhancing the routine operational outputs of our procurement team.
The role’s core responsibilities centre on the leadership and management of this procurement team, including line management of a growing team of direct reports. The successful incumbent will drive the operational aspects of OryxAlign’s purchasing function; in doing so, delivering an enhanced capability based on an existing well-established team and operating processes.
By design, the role will operate in harmony with OryxAlign’s Strategic Vendor Manager by operationalising our developing procurement strategy. Focused on the day-to-day operational demand in supporting a large client base through processing purchasing requirements, including hardware and subscription, the successful incumbent will have deep domain expertise in procurement and purchasing methods and operations.
While line managed by the COO, the role will work closely with a number of OryxAlign’s wider teams, including Sales and Account Management, Professional Services and solution architects, based on the operational demand. Additionally, as indicated, the PTL will operate in conjunction with the Strategic Vendor Manager in operationalising the business’ supplier and vendor management strategy.
A key attribute of the role will be driving productivity of the procurement team in line with OryxAlign’s broader objective of improving its operational productivity.
• Line Management responsibilities for three staff.
• Management of the procurement reseller Cost Centre financials.
• Management of day-to-day purchasing requirements and operational cycle, including sales and purchase order processing, post order management and delivery tracking.
• Support to the Sales and Account Management Team in the preparation of quotes and proposals and sales enquires.
• Contract and subscription management.
• Support the operationalisation of OryxAlign’s procurement strategy.
• Routine operational reporting to COO and Senior Leadership Team-level.
• Support to OryxAlign’s compliance requirements, including ISO-9001.
• Delegated Financial Authority.
Specifically, the individual shall have proven experience in:
• Extensive experience in procurement, ideally in an MSP or IT supply-orientated environment.
• Operational supply-chain management understanding.
• Very strong communication skills, including written and oral, and the means by which information is articulated. Strong data-driven and visual reporting skills.
• IT services and product awareness.
• Resource planning techniques.
• Domain expertise with ConnectWise PSA or an equivalent industry-recognised platform.
• Formal evidence-based reporting based on KPIs where required.
• Detailed knowledge of OryxAlign’s Business Management System, including procedure and process continuous improvement and compliance requirements in relation to area of responsibility.
