Role Profile
Reporting to the Professional Services Network Team Lead, the main responsibility of this role is delivering small, medium, and large projects across our client base.
Within the Professional Services Business Unit, the Network Team is responsible for designing, scoping, and implementing Network-based projects. This may, at times, involve knowledge of Infrastructure and Cloud-based technologies, such as:
- Windows Servers
- Storage (NAS / SAN)
- Virtualisation (VMware / Hyper-V)
- Cloud (Azure)
The Network Team liaises with other areas of the business and externally with our clients to produce and deliver projects, so the Network Project Engineer needs to be a strong communicator and able to work individually as well as a member of a team.
Responsibilities
- Design, scope and implement Network-Based Projects within budget and delivered on time
- Liaising with other teams in the Business
- Documenting delivered projects in an accurate manner
- Handing over delivered Projects to Support
- Participating in Internal and External Collaboration
- Ability to work out of normal working hours as required
Key Experience and Expertise
Specifically, the individual shall have a proven track record in the following:
- MSP Experience
- Design, Scoping and Implementation of Network-Based Projects
- Excellent knowledge in the working of Firewalls, Switches, and WAPs across multiple network Vendors, including Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Juniper & Dell
- Excellent knowledge of Routing and Switching
- Ability to Configure and monitor Network Devices using SNMP
- Configuration of Site-to-Site VPNs and Remote Access VPNs across multiple network vendors
Desirable Experience and Expertise
Desirable skills and experience for the role are:
- Knowledge of Windows Servers
- Knowledge of VMware vCenter and vSphere
- Knowledge of Storage Systems, NAS and SANs
- Knowledge of Azure (with a focus on VPN, Express Route, etc…)

- Essential – CCNA
- Essential – CCNP
- Desirable – PCNSA
- Desirable – PCNSE
