Reporting to the Head of Professional Services, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple infrastructure, Network and Cloud based projects for our customers.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with experience working in a MSP sector with strong technical knowledge in either IT Infrastructure, Networking or Cloud. You will have worked across a variety of IT projects of varying size and budgetary value.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate first class inter-personal skills, have strong IT knowledge and at least two years’ experience in a Project Manager role.
Manage customer-based IT transformation projects from initiation to project closure.
Develop necessary documents such as project scope, schedules, RACI etc.
Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, timesheet management, resource scheduling and expenditures
Organise, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings, prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings
Manage project financials
Manage customer relationships and maintaining client’s trust
Risk and Issues management
Facilitate workshops for project scoping and design
Plan, monitor and control the progress of projects and ensure high and consistent quality throughout the project lifecycle. This involves planning customer specific tasks, understanding the scope and technical delivery approach.
Creating and managing test phases and associated sign offs.
Responsible for resource management within each project.
Manage multiple concurrent projects while coordinating virtual teams made up of colleagues with diverse specialist expertise and roles.
Work with the Professional Services leadership team to ensure a consistent high quality of governance of projects, and be responsible both internally and externally for all communications regarding aspects of the project (status, risks, financials, issues, scope, schedule etc.)
Key experience and expertise
Specifically, the individual shall have a proven track record in the following:
Proven Project Management experience in a technical sector
Excellent customer facing skills in a customer facing role
Experience in Technical IT Services sector
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and or cloud
Proficient using Microsoft office including Microsoft Project
Agile ways of working experience
Excellent written and verbal communications
Strong coordination and organisational skills
Risk and issues mitigation and remediation
Desirable experience and expertise
Desirable skills and experience for the role are:
Experience working for a Managed Services Provider in a customer facing role
Excellent customer facing skills in a Service Management role with ability to deliver service performance insight
Experience working in the technology services sector
Knowledge of Microsoft Project.
Knowledge of Project management methodologies
Education and qualifications
Essential – Prince 2 /Agile PM
Desirable – ITIL V3 Foundation or higher
Desirable – IT qualification
