OryxAlign has grown very successfully over the last five years and is now a highly respected Managed Services Provider with a well-established and growing brand. The company has invested heavily in its people and business infrastructure over this period, and continues to do so, and now employs more than 75 staff from its offices in London, Manchester and Manila in the Philippines. Annual revenues are approaching £10m.
Building on this success, and reassured by a buoyant market despite recent global events related to COVID-19, OryxAlign launched a new three-year vision in 2020, seeking to achieve a CAGR>20%, which should deliver annual revenue >£17m by 2023 with a headcount >120.
Realising this vision will require several key organisational changes, including the appointment of a Head of Managed Services. This new role is mission critical; the incumbent will be a member of OryxAlign’s senior leadership team and will play a central part in successfully planning and executing the managed services elements of the business’s three-year plan.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Managed Services is responsible for the successful performance of OryxAlign’s Managed Services Business Unit, including the Service Desk, Network Operations Centre (NOC) and Service Deliver Team.
Additionally, the Head of Managed Services:
As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Head of Managed Services will have deep-domain understanding of service management operations and best of breed technologies, systems, processes and applications, which underpin a successful MSP. Additionally, a solid grasp of cyber security and resilience threats and the application of information services in achieving operational advantage will be required to contextualise the importance of OryxAlign’s managed services to its clients.
The ideal candidate will be a proven manager, with leadership experience, in the modern IT space, operationally astute and competent at translating operational guidance and direction into day-to-day activity and will have 10 years+ service management experience. The Head of Managed Services will be required to support the planning, refinement and execution of both short and medium-term operational plans and understand fully the mission critical importance of well executed service transition and management, including incident and problem management.
Additionally, the candidate will display sound emotional intelligence, judgement and decision-making ability, and be capable of communicating through a range of mediums to geographically separated business unit elements and from Board to individual staff level. Given OryxAlign’s growth aspirations, the candidate will be a self-starter and capable of maturing the Managed Services Business Unit to support OryxAlign in realising its vision.
