The solution
OryxAlign was immediately contracted to undertake initial consultations with the property developers and architects. After several site meetings and infrastructure surveys, OryxAlign submitted its proposal in which it described how the technology objectives would be met. The new landlord was fascinated by OryxAlign’s proposal, and immediately awarded the contract.
The project entailed the technology infrastructure design and implementation of several core deliverables. To start with OryxAlign oversaw the creation and implementation of an internal fibre local area network that runs throughout the buildings and serve as a fibre backbone. This provided the essential infrastructure needed to deliver internet connectivity across the entire building and its tenants.
Furthermore, OryxAlign employed the use of a cutting-edge guest wireless internet access infrastructure throughout the buildings and outdoor retail areas. A total of 25 high-performance Aerohive access points were installed and configured in each of the buildings, along with switching capacity to match.
To add to the connectivity, OryxAlign introduced fibre internet infrastructure in order to provide tenants with an efficient direct internet access service the minute they take up space in the building. Last, but by no means least, OryxAlign provided the landlord with the infrastructure to cover reception requirements, IP phones and audio-visual technology.
The success of OryxAlign’s involvement with The Urban Building project has further strengthened its partnership with Brockton Capital, so much so that OryxAlign was contracted to deliver the same technology template to no less than 3 additional commercial estates in London and the home counties.
