The solution
The starting point was when OryxAlign was contracted to undertake initial consultations with the property developers and architects. Following several site meetings and infrastructure surveys, OryxAlign submitted a proposal in which it described how the technology objectives would be met, and once again OryxAlign so impressed Brockton Capital that it was immediately awarded the contract.
The accepted proposal covered the technology infrastructure design and implementation of a number of core deliverables. To begin with OryxAlign oversaw the creation and implementation of an internal fibre local area network that runs throughout the buildings and serve as a fibre backbone. This provided the essential infrastructure needed to deliver internet connectivity across the entire building and its tenants.
In addition, OryxAlign employed the use of a cutting-edge guest wireless internet access infrastructure throughout the buildings and outdoor areas. A total of 25 high-performance Aerohive access points were installed and configured in each of the buildings, along with switching capacity to match.
To increase the overall connectivity, OryxAlign introduced fibre internet infrastructure in order to provide tenants with an efficient direct internet access service the instant they take up space in the building. Lastly, OryxAlign provided the landlord with the infrastructure needed to cover reception requirements, IP phones and audio-visual technology.
The success of the One Valpy project has further strengthened the partnership with Brockton Capital and resulted in OryxAlign being contracted to deliver the same technology template to 3 additional commercial estates in London and across the home counties.
