The solution
While Camden Lock Market was already utilising a limited wireless infrastructure on the estate, it simply wasn’t up to the task of delivering the wish-list of objectives that the senior management desired. So OryxAlign proposed a full expansion of the existing high-performance wireless network, along with a WAN connectivity overhaul, and the installation of a new structured cabling infrastructure spanning the entire estate.
The wireless infrastructure consisted of a total of 35 high-performance outdoor, dual-band, wireless access points, strategically distributed across the entire market, and based on the volume of predicted foot-fall. The infrastructure was meshed and fine-tuned to work coherently and across the estate. Taking into consideration the volume of visitors, stall owners and management, OryxAlign designed the multiple SSID infrastructure necessary to secure the networks, and divide the services between the market visitors, the management team, stall operators and the PDQ machine operators.
To complete the picture, OryxAlign also provides 24×7 infrastructure support, monitoring and maintenance, as well as monthly reports to senior management on wireless usage statistics and analytics.
