OryxAlign sleep out for Action for Children

OryxAlign are thrilled to be participating in this year’s Byte Night on behalf of Action for Children.

Byte Night is a national sleep-out event which is Action for Children’s biggest annual fundraiser. They have raised over £9.6m since their first event in 1998, and they have set the ambitious target of raising £1.4m this year alone. Byte Night will see hundreds of like-minded people from the technology and business arena give up their beds for one night to help change the lives of vulnerable young people. It is one of the UK’s top 20 mass participation charity events, and it is the largest charity sleep-out in the UK. This year, it is taking place on the 6th of October in 10 locations across the country.

All of this is in aide of a brilliant charity called Action for Children, who supports more than 390,000 children, young people, and families each year. In particular, this event focuses on supporting some of the 83,000 young people who are homeless in the UK every year through no fault of their own. Family breakdown, mental health issues, and abuse in the home are just a few of the causes which lead to many young people becoming homeless. Action for Children have been able to help so many young people who wouldn’t otherwise have a safe and happy future. Unfortunately, there are still many more which need their help.

In aid of this, Claire Griffin, Finance Manager, Maggie Calvert, Executive Assistant/Office Manager, and Regina Bluman, Marketing Manager, will be sleeping out to raise money for this fantastic cause. We will be performing a number of fundraising activities over the coming weeks and months in order to reach our target of £3,000. If you have something you would be interesting in donating to us as a raffle, please get in touch with Regina at regina@oryxalign.com. Alternatively, if you are able to donate to our Just Giving page directly, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support in this endeavour!
